Match Report

For the first 15 minutes of the game the bulldogs were fully dominant and looked surely like they would score with James sat down in his net catching some sun rays  after having nothing to do but chance after chance went begging, with us missing a penalty and coming close with a free kick from Ellis.

We were awarded a penalty after a handball in the box which was taken by Owen but was unfortunately saved by the Ripon keeper. Within 10 minutes after another hand ball in the box from a Ripon defender, we were given a second penalty, this time JP stepped up to take it and firmly slotted it to the keepers left hand side.

We continued to dominate the game up until half time with our only downfall being us not chasing down loose balls played by Ripon and following up on shots which the keeper had failed to catch.

After the half time break all attacking players did as they were instructed, chasing down all loose balls with Toby winning the ball in the opposition half, pairing up with Luke to create a close chance for Sean which skimmed the outside of the post.

The game was much more end to end after the break, James deserved credit after  more than two magnificent saves to keep us in the game.

Ebi finally put us 2 up after brilliant footwork and we went back to controlling the game, our third soon followed from JP with a great drilled shot from the edge of the box.

With 10 minutes remaining and looking very comfortable at 3-0, JP picked the ball up on the half way line and manage to chip the keeper from over 20 yards out, this being the second time this season he has managed to lob the keeper.

A good solid team performance again from all players!
